When shopping for new underwear, we would always recommend that you check your bra size, as there’s nothing worse than the pain of a poorly fitting bra, especially when it’s so quick to fix!

It’s important to consider that your build is likely to be different to that of a cis woman. Trans women often have broader rib cages as well as a firmer chest and upper torso, so we recommend that you opt for a larger band size than what you measure as. If not, you can always buy bra extenders, as we wouldn’t want you to miss out on any of our Lounge luxuries!

We’ve collated a list of all the things you need to be mindful of when shopping for underwear as a trans woman.
- Shop for bras or bodysuits with adjustable straps, as these will accommodate your height and torso length better. Luckily for you, all of our bras have adjustable straps. You’re welcome, Loungers!
- If you want to give the illusion of a smaller frame, we recommend bras with wide straps, such as our Sustainable Lace Magic Set or our Bare Set.
- Non wired bras (particularly bralettes) may be the most comfortable, as wearing wired bras following chest surgery may cause discomfort.

What has your experience been like with working with Lounge Underwear?
