Here at Lounge, we’re constantly striving to be the best we can possibly be. With no ceiling, nor box to think outside of… for us, we like to run as if the sky is truly the limit.

And this World Environment Day, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to talk with you about our carbon footprint and just some of our plans for reducing this and becoming a more sustainable brand in the coming months.

 

FIRST UP, LET'S TALK SUSTAINABILITY.

 

Sustainability is a big word, with so many different parts to it. To help us to work on this, we’ve recently recruited the first member of our internal Sustainability department! This is the team that focuses entirely on figuring out what we can be doing better to help our planet.

We’re working on our entirely Sustainable Collection, meaning that every single component will be environmentally friendly. So you’ll feel just as amazing as you look! (What more can we ask for, right?!)

On top of this, we’re also looking to make quite a few changes to our already existing line of products, from re-designing all cotton products to incorporate sustainable or recycled products, to replacing all packaging inserts, mailing bags, product bags and swing tags with recycled materials! (Whew!)

 


NEXT, OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT.

 

We’ve been working closely with our partners to reduce our outbound carbon footprint, looking at our materials, suppliers, manufacturing process and so on. You can expect to see many changes from us in this department, so keep a lookout!

Reducing our carbon footprint goes far beyond our products, too! All of our Loungers each have a branded stainless steel water bottle, ensuring they are all hydrated AND saving the planet at the same time, it’s a win-win! 

 

LASTLY, GIVING BACK.

 

We love our community, we really do.

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month last year, we released a Limited Edition Thong & ‘Guide to Checking your Breasts’ (still available to download here), with all proceeds (£23,676.14) being donated to our charity partners Coppafeel and Trekstock! Better yet, we plan to repeat this in 2020! (But even bigger and better, of course. We love to out-do ourselves!)

So, there we have it! We’re working so hard and have already taken huge steps forward to become a better, greener brand, both internally and externally.

And girls, we’re just getting started.
