Whatever boat you’re in, there’s no denying that being a Lounger is by far the best job ever! From our shiny new HQME to an onsite gym and more Lounging spaces than we can count, it really is our home away from home.
We caught up with Georgia, our Head of People and Thom, our Talent Acquisition Manager, on what your first day as a Lounger looks like and what you can expect.
From bagging yourself a shiny new Apple Mac to indulging at our CUP Cafe, here’s everything you can expect on your first day.
What happens on your first day at Lounge?
Firstly, we ask all of our new Loungers to arrive at 10am on their first day. Once they arrive, they get greeted by our lovely front of house girls, Sophia and Mia (and ‘She’) with a cup of tea, of course! Sophia or Mia will then pop you in our waiting room where you can browse our website and relax before Georgia or Thom start onboarding you.
The onboarding process
Georgia or Thom will take you through an overview of the brand, get you set up on your laptop, any platforms you may need and talk you through all the general first day bits and bobs. This process is super relaxed and gives us a chance to get to know you even more! During the onboarding process, we’ll also talk you through the Lounge story, general HQME information, staff benefits, team structure, email set up and more!
The HQME Tour
After we’ve finished onboarding you, we’ll then take you on a tour of our incredible HQME and make sure you know where everything is such as meeting rooms, toilets, fire exits, the gym, the canteen and any other hot spots around our HQ.
Photo Time
Once we’ve finished touring you around our beautiful HQME, it’s time for photos!
We’ll take a photo for your fob and of course, you have to get the classic photo outside the front of our HQ as an official Lounger! It’s not your first day if you didn’t get the picture, right?
Once you’re all onboarded, we’ll get you comfortable at your new desk with your official Lounge starter pack. This includes a shiny new Apple Mac laptop, a Lounge reusable water bottle, a notepad and your very own lanyard.
Meeting your Fellow Loungers
You'll then meet your wonderful new Lounge family and be shown everything and anything related to your role. All of our Loungers are super friendly and welcoming - you’ll be settled in in no time.
